The WISE Database brings together key Beyond-GDP indicators on wellbeing, inclusion, and sustainability. Country data is harmonised for comparison. As it’s still in development, feedback is welcome to improve it for researchers, educators, media, and others.
The visualisation displays country rankings, distributions, and trends, along with metadata, a data table, and an Excel download option. For the best experience, open it in a new screen using the bottom-right icon. As this is a beta version, some errors may still exist. We’re also working on new visualisations to enhance comparison of WISE metrics.

How to explore the data
Start by selecting the specific Beyond-GDP indicators you wish to explore using the available filters. You can navigate through different categories—such as wellbeing, inclusion, and sustainability—to tailor the data displayed on the map and charts according to your research or policy needs.
Interact with the visualisations to compare country rankings and observe historical trends over time. You can click on specific nations on the interactive map or select data points on the charts to dive deeper into how different regions perform across your chosen metrics.
For the best viewing experience, we highly recommend expanding the dashboard to full screen using the icon in the bottom-right corner. You can also access detailed metadata, view the complete data table, and download the information directly as an Excel file for your own offline analysis.
